PDFRedactor.com today released the new Windows program PDF Redactor, a neat PDF text redaction free software tool designed to redact or delete sensitive text and images in a PDF file to protect privacy. Not only can the blacked-out content be unreadable, but even if readers use the text search function, the blocked part cannot be found. The content will be deleted entirely from the PDF file.
The interface of this app is very straight-forward, so users won’t take long to figure out how to start. Upon launching PDF Redactor, users will be prompted to open a PDF document, and then they can make use of the program’s features.
Before choosing to redact text, the tool will instruct users on how to do so: click on the Redact button, highlight the text they wish to block, and then save the PDF. Thereafter, the highlighted text will be redacted immediately, removing any possibility of it being somehow revealed through reverse-engineering. As such, users can rest easy knowing that the information they hid here will stay redacted.
There’s also a Delete button, which enables users to delete the highlighted writing completely.
PDF Redactor also enables people to add new text and images over a PDF file, and the process is intuitive and easy. Users can move and resize anything they added, and they can also customize the text font, size and color.
PDF Redactor is free for PDF documents contain less than 100 pages and home/personal use, no file number limit.
The PDF Redactor Pro version costs $29.95 USD and it could redact PDF files contain more than 100 pages.
