No more app switching; just search and share, right from your keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>Gboard puts Search right in the keyboard. And, it also adds GIFs, emoji-centric tools (including type and scrawl to search), and glide and voice typing.<\/p>\n<h2><iframe data-src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hj_91ntoi50\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/h2>\n<h2><b>Gboard Installation is simple<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have it installed already, go ahead and grab <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gboard <\/a>from the Google Play Store, then follow the prompts to set it as your default keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>Its good chance that your Android device came with a couple of keyboard options pre-installed. For example, if you have a Samsung device, you\u2019ve probably got Samsung\u2019s keyboard installed.To enable additional keyboards, go to <em>Settings<\/em> then <em>Language and Input<\/em>.\u00a0Under <em>Keyboards and input methods<\/em>, you\u2019ll see all of the keyboards currently installed on your device.To enable a keyboard, simply check its box and you can now use that keyboard whenever you\u2019re typing in a text box. To set the default keyboard, tap Default and choose your desired input method.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have a keyboard enabled, you can use it whenever you\u2019re typing in a text box. Your default keyboard will always come up first, but you can quickly switch between keyboards by opening your notification bar menu.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Pro tips:<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Press and hold Enter to choose from hundreds of emoji in any app (Android 4.4+).<\/li>\n<li>Learns as you type: No need to manually add words to a personal dictionary. Type a word once and you can gesture type it or find it in suggestions next time. Long press a suggestion to remove it from your \u201clearned words\u201d or the keyboard dictionary.<\/li>\n<li>Sync your learned words across devices to improve suggestions (enable in Gboard Settings\u2192 Dictionary \u2192 Sync learned words).<\/li>\n<li>Gesture cursor control: Slide your finger across the space bar to move the cursor.<\/li>\n<li>Gesture delete: Slide left from the delete key to quickly delete multiple words.<\/li>\n<li>Make the number row available all the time (enable in Settings \u2192 Preferences \u2192 Number Row)<\/li>\n<li>Symbols hints: Show quick hints on your keys to access symbols with a long press (enable in Gboard Settings \u2192 Preferences \u2192 Long press for symbols).<\/li>\n<li>One handed mode: On large screen phones, pin keyboard to the left or the right of the screen by long pressing on Enter and selecting the thumb icon.<\/li>\n<li>Fast symbols: Gesture from the \u201c?123\u201d key to temporarily switch to the symbols keyboard and insert a symbol.<\/li>\n<li>Fast capitalization: Gesture from the SHIFT key to a character to capitalize it.<\/li>\n<li>Themes: Choose a theme with or without key borders to suit your style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Like this post?
